NETIA TOWER AS THE ARENA OF THE CLOUD GAMES
The Cloud Games is the first and only event of its kind which, thanks to its appealing and engaging formula, will select the best experts on public cloud in Poland. Cloud Games are organized by Cloudstate and Mirosław Burnejka, a famous blogger and cloud expert.
Netia, as a provider of cloud solutions, is the Technological Partner of this event and at the same time, the host of the Warsaw qualifications, which took place on June 19, 2018 in Netia Tower.
The competition takes place in the public arena - i.e. live in the public cloud. The competition started with online eliminations at https://igrzyskachmury.pl/. Then, 60 top professionals selected struggles with live tasks during qualification in 5 cities: Kraków (June 12), Warsaw (June 19), Wrocław (September 6), Gdańsk (September 10) and Poznań (September 18).
"Netia's ambition is to be at the forefront of local cloud providers. Thanks to such events, we contribute to the popularization of cloud solutions in Poland and change our image from a traditional telecommunications company to a technological partner in Client business development," said Adam Kowalczyk, Senior Product Manager at Netia SA. "The Cloud Games have also confirmed that our service is a refreshing alternative to other solutions. We are pleased to see how positive the reception of Netia Compute by the participants of the competition was," he added.
During the Warsaw qualifications held on June 19 in Netia Tower, the participants faced many demanding tasks and the best results were achieved by: Kamil Grabowski (SysOps / DevOps specialist) - 1st place and Piotr Kalinowski (freelancer, blogger and software engineer) - 2nd place. At the end of September 2018, they will compete in the grand finale in Warsaw.
